BYD Super DM technology is the driving force behind the all-new SEAL U DM-i.
Developed exclusively by BYD, this technology offers a number of advantages, including outstanding energy efficiency, low fuel consumption, great driving characteristics and a high level of comfort.
BYD’s plug-in hybrid cars are easily recognisable thanks to the designation “DM” in the name. In the name of the SEAL U DM-i, the letter “i” symbolise intelligence, which embodies the principles of smart and energy-efficient driving.
The Electric Hybrid System (EHS) is a highly integrated powertrain that includes two high-speed motors, two control units and advanced oil-cooling technology, thus generally increasing motor efficiency.
An innovative engine design developed specifically for Super DM technology. With world-leading thermal efficiency, the Xiaoyun engine has a compact, simplified structure, thanks to which it generates high power and torque.
Super DM technology uses a bespoke version of the highly acclaimed Blade laminated battery. These specialised batteries for the hybrid platform have capacity of to 26.6 kWh and enable a purely electric range of up to 125 km while offering a number of other benefits.
